a website just add your text to a pre-designed
template and place clip art package - and
the site is finished within a a few hours.
Now don't get me wrong - as some companies
really don't mind this kind of web-building
service - especially if they are pressed
for time and money. But you need to make
sure the price is fair to the amount of time
that was involved in your particular project.
But as a "hands-on" artist, I do not create nor design that way. I dedicate REAL time and effort to become involved in my hand-drawn graphics, creative designs, while advertising your services and products. My particular design work is original, customized and personalized for you and your business. - as customizing takes personal effort and time getting know your business - and how you would like to present your company. Your investment, along with my time and energy is all based on hand drawn graphics from imagination, different designs, and created from scratch - as I specialize in unique graphic design, originality, and creative images. Whether I would be designing a website, a company logo, a newspaper ad, related graphics, web banners, buttons, slogans, text, etc. - it's all pretty different. I personally don't use pre-designed templates that limit your customization, or my creativity. I prefer uniqueness and imagination when it comes to giving you something artistic and genuine, and I spend REAL dedicated time to giving you your own "master-copy" version with an individual style - just for you! Experience having your own art department for your advertising needs. Hire me only when you need me. I have an hourly rate, which in most cases, I will try to incorporate into a flat rate package if you can provide me with enough information upfront. I prepare your customized projects with my freelance rate of 35.00 per hour (depending on the projects needs) - billed quarterly, which also covers many "hats of the job" (that you might not be aware of) like project preparation time that involves research, phone calls, consultations, set-up, and etc.. which can take away from the very thing that you came to me for... which is, design. Also included is typesetting time, limited revision time, printing time, and pre-publication mechanical time. All of this is standard procedure with any graphic design service or advertising agency, but I like to be upfront with buyers and educate them with all that is involved. When I hand you your invoice, I will want you to know exactly what you received for your investment. My services are completely affordable when I am prepared responsibly, leaving a lesser chance for mistakes, second guessing, and revisions. All quotes are upfront, so that you are never surprised. I'm not a large advertising firm, but an independent contractor with a degree in visual communications and experience in advertising. I am self-motivating and quite capable of working alone for extensive hours, on several projects at a time. From trade secrets, deadlines, to client lists, I fully understand its importance of privacy, and protect it from competitors, so that your small business comes across unique and original. If you are concerned with the cost - my main suggestion is to have your project prepared (concept, ideas, written text, photos, artwork, etc.) This way I can do a terrific design with what you give me. But if you prefer to drop the whole project into my hand - I can do that too. I will be glad take control with the additional responsibility of the larger amount of work, and longer hours. (It will be like having your very own art department!) I can come up with a concept, personalized ideas, writing interesting text, researching for the perfect artwork and scanning photos to the perfect layout and design! Since this would give me more to do with your project - than just the design, my rates would be adjusted accordingly per individual project. On one side of the coin... you could probably come up with your own logo or website... (basically just to have something) but it would mean that you would have to take the time, energy, and investments - to create your own business and advertising concepts, research your business needs, the time to learn your software and programs, and etc - when you weren't busy taking care of your business. On the other side of the coin.... I do have the time, the talent, the skills, and experience, along with the professional design software and programs to make your images and website happen! Hiring me for the job - leaves you more time for YOUR job. |
