About the Creative Designer
©2006 dezignbiz.com
Hi, I'm Suzi - and ever since childhood,
I've always been a creative soul at heart,
and unique sense of imagination - whether
it was with my simplest doodles, clever wordplay,
personal sketches, unique ideas, unusual
way of doing things, seeing thing differently
than others, interesting writings, holiday
decorating, and so forth.

Because of my natural gift of constructive
thinking and problem solving.... I have one
personal goal to accomplish, and that is
to always keep intouch with my creative spirit.
My goal as a creative designing artist is
to continue earning an income by expressing
myself artistically - while getting your
small business exposed in print and on the
web. When it comes to creating the work or coming
up with specific ideas and concepts, I have
a bit of a different style that can usually
be considered "out of the norm",
but that is what has always worked for me
- bringing me, and my customers, satisfaction
and success - maybe since it's created from
my head, original or unique, and attention
grabbing. I like to stretch the limits of
creativity.
Now if you are coming to me for something
pretty stiff and conservative - then I might
not be the right person. Stiff takes the
fun out of creating. It's hard to know what
will come from my head. I would probably
say that I specialize in originality. I don't
particularly care for using pre-made clip-art
or templates in my work, although it can
be a lot faster to find what you need, and
drop it in the project. I guess my problem (when designing) with
clip art is that ANYONE can purchase that
pre-made art - all you need to do is make
a payment and it's yours. Same goes for the
next guy that comes across it.

Then what you considered "your unique
business look" - turns up on your competitor's
website, and hundreds of other websites -
who bought that very same piece of artwork.
That's why I personally prefer a site and
its graphics to be created from scratch.
A less professional style of work gives it
a sense of originality and creativity - rather
than the ultimate and perfect-looking design.
I am imagination.. I can see, what the eyes
cannot see...
I can hear, what the ears
cannot hear...
I can feel, what the heart
cannot feel.

With this independent style of mine, I tend
to think of myself more as the
amateur or
creative person - because the
term "professional"
is really too stiff and stuffy
of a word
to describe me or my artistic
taste. I like
having creative freedom, experimenting,
making
mistakes, learning new design
techniques,
and make things look different.
I like freelance
work so that I can continue to
bend and shape
the rules of the typical "button-up"
standards of advertising. My
best work is
usually the non-professional
kind, but original
and cool.... and more importantly,
it usually
gets the job done successfully,
without cramping
my style. My best thinking comes
from a comfortable
spot, with good music to stir
the imagination.
I do clean work, that starts
with the basics.
I like art that is simple, yet
catchy, and
is easy on the eye. Most importantly,
I think
art should speaks its purpose...
whether
it's boldly screaming a message,
or dead
silent to force your brain to
find its' message.
Creative Background and Commercial Artist
Education
Along with my natural talent of imagination
and creativity, I have also earned my creative
title as an '86 graduate of the Art Institute
of Pittsburgh, with an Associates Degree
in Visual Communications and Specialized
Technology, along with additional graphic
art classes that I have attended to at Westmoreland
County Community College. I have many years
of experience as a graphic artist, illustrator,
and designer. My professional background
consists of employment as an art director,
graphic artist and designer for daily and
weekly news tabs, magazines, daily newspapers,
and advertising agencies as the Pennysaver,
the Flyer, The Observer Patriot, The Times,
Auburn News, LK Graphics Advertising Agency,
Tribune Review Publishing, various Real Estate
booklets, Myers and Associates Advertising

the side. Then later, these jobs, skills
and experience allowed me to handle my own
promotions, marketing, and professional business
responsibilities as a self-employed independent
contractor and freelance graphic artist.
My design services specialize in graphic
art and design for small business, along
with advertising solutions for print and
web promotion. I've created personalized
graphics and design with the use of traditional
and electronic art production, with the latest
design software. I blend imagination with
technology, to bring you interesting, yet
original design concepts. I've also handled several aspects of the
design process from initial idea to the digital
pre-production, without losing personalized
visual impact. With my services, I dedicate a friendly,
professional attitude - with a helpful personality,
and warm, personal touch.
Servicing Greensburg, Latrobe, Unity Township,
Mt Pleasant, and surrounding local areas
in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania right
now, but I have also created designs for
various parts of the country.
