Creating Your Business Identity
Logos and Logo Design Services

Whether you are just starting your own small
business, or perhaps thinking about refreshing
the look of your business.... it's a smart
and professional move to have a logo created
for what your company stands for. When created
correctly - it should be easily recognized,
and memorable. A logo is either a visual
symbol, custom graphics, or text designed
to represent your business.
You can see my logo located at
the top of
my website, and it is linked
to the artist
tools sitting in a cup (which
is common of
us creative people!). So when
someone happens
to come across my logo, no matter
where they
find it - they should assume
that the logo
belongs to an artist or creative
person by
recognizing the artist's tools,
and the word
"studio" might even
be of help.
Logos are created in all sorts
of ways, as
graphic artists create and visualize
in all
sorts of ways. There are no rules
when designing
a logo, other than the fact that
when someone
notices your logo - they should
get an idea
as to what your business is..
whether that
is spelled out within the type,
or demonstrated
with the artwork. For another example... looking at some of
the logo designs that I had created to the
top right of this page, we have a mailbox
store that portrays a mailbox in the logo.
You also see the massage shop with hand prints...
a floral shop with a basket of flowers, a
dairy company that highlights their barn.
Your logo design should be instantly recognizable
as to what you offer.
Testimonial "We get a number of customers who comment
on my new logo EVERYDAY! Your personal touch
has really made such a significant difference." Maureen Baker

The intention of a logo or logotype
is to
brand the "look of your
business",
so that when someone sees that
specific logo
design - that connect it instantly
to your
particular business service or
products.
My favorite example is the famous golden
arches of McDonalds. No matter where you see this international
logo - you KNOW it's McDonalds.... whether
you see this on their big sign on the highway,
on a McDonald commercial, in a coupon ad
in the newspaper, or even when looking into
the trash and noticing one of their cups
with those popular arches. There are 3 kinds of logos:
Why is a logo important? It gives you the
opportunity to advertise your business and
get people familiar with your products and
services. Sure it's perfect for your business
card, business stationary, paid advertising
- but you can also add your business or corporate
identity to decals to advertise on your vehicle,
onto your T-shirts or caps, on calendars,
on flyers, etc. The ideas go on and on as
I am sure you are quite aware of (and if
you aren't aware - that's what I am for!)
The goal is to have your business and your
logo printed anywhere that you can - to become
noticed. That's where someone like me would
come in - if you are looking for a personalized
logo, specifically designed for your business
- and want to be noticed. |
